Excellent opportunity for a Sr. Credit Administrator with one of the most successful, well-capitalized regional financial institutions in the country. 

 

The Sr. Credit Administrator reports directly to the Chief Credit Officer and is responsible for all assigned credit analysis and administration functions related to the Credit Union's programs where any aspect of commercial credit risk exists.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct credit authority for the approval of new and existing C&I and CRE credits.
  • Coordinate with credit administration managers to handle the management and renewal of existing credits.
  • Manage credit related software systems including CASH and PCBB’s credit stress testing.
  • Continue to analyze and streamline the credit review process.
  • Secondary loan documentation review to ensure proper completion of loan documents.
  • Provide backup support to the Chief Credit Officer in the analysis of the adequacy of the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses, and the preparation of the loan loss reserve analysis reports for the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee the Bank’s Asset Based Lending function to ensure borrower compliance with borrowing formulas and financial information provision as set forth in the credit agreement.
  • Support Credit Administration’s efforts to monitor the financial trends of the loan portfolio by reviewing the Quarterly Trend Analysis and Covenant Compliance forms completed by financial analysts.  Identify emerging weaknesses in credits through this review and take appropriate action.
  • Support the Chief Credit Officer in the processing of monthly reports, data review and maintenance of the Credit Policy and Procedure Manual.
  • Frequent review of past due and matured loan reports to achieve early regularization.  Review of maturing loan reports to assist loan officers with avoidance of administrative delinquencies.  Report all material changes and potential for risk rating downgrade to Chief Credit Officer.
  • Assist Chief Credit Officer and Capital Markets Team with negotiation of Participation Agreements with other financial institutions as necessary.  Oversee the credit team’s maintenance of files for participated loans and ensure follow-up monthly to meet the requirements of the Participation Agreements.  Assist loan officers responsible for maintaining the requirements of the participated loans.
  • Assist with process and ordering and review of appraisals to ensure independence of loan officers in appraisal process.
  • Acts as contact with Experian, Dataquick, D&B and COB Infotek to ensure that the Bank is utilizing the most current software available and to troubleshoot any software issues.
  • Oversees the preparation of reports for use by Credit Administration and lending units, and other departments from time-to-time.
  • Reviews documentation to ensure compliance with Bank policy and procedures.

 

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 7-10 yrs of direct credit approval experience, particularly underwriting and monitoring all aspects of large, complex commercial loan transactions.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial statement analysis and business valuation methods (solid analytical skills).
  • Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High level working knowledge of software; Excel, Word, etc.
  • Ability to work w/ outside service providers (legal counsel, auditors, examiners, appraisers, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of the regulatory environment.
  • Proactive, precise, highly motivated and able to adapt and thrive within the Bank's credit culture.
