The Master of Fine Program in Creative Writing is seeking graduate students for our Assistantship Program. Candidates must be accepted in the MFA Graduate Program. They work closely with a faculty member in research, creative writing presentations, and workshops.
10096 - Graduate Assistant
Duties must be related to the student's field of study or provide professional development and will vary depending on the project and/or assigned responsibilities. Graduate Assistants may be assigned to professional staff in any department of the University. Additional details will be provided by the hiring department.
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications
Currently admitted to the MFA program in Creative Writing at UTRGV
Be in good academic standing
Be registered full-time for the respective semester - nine (9) semester credit hours during the fall semester, nine (9) semester credit hours during the spring semester, or three (3) semester credit hours during the summer session or be registered in the required number of semester credit hours to fulfill the only remaining requirements of the degree plan.
Maximum appointment is limited to twenty (20) hours per week (50% FTE).
