With a vision to see generations of Christ-centered homes on the Treasure Coast Coastal Life has a mission to help families find and follow Jesus. Our strategy is simply to share the Gospel with crowds and relationally disciple individuals. We have a huge emphasis on impacting marriages, parents, students, and children. We are a actively growing church of 1100 in the process of relocating to a brand new church campus in the next few years.

Job Requirements

Qualifications: • A growing relationship with Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission of Coastal Life Church. • Strong experience in live sound and lighting in a church or live production environment. • Working knowledge of video production, graphics, and digital content workflows. • Proven leadership and volunteer development experience. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Ability to both lead and execute in a fast-paced ministry environment.

Job Description

The Creative Director at Coastal Life Church provides leadership and oversight for all technical and creative environments of the church, with a primary focus on sound, lighting, and video for weekend services and special events. This role ensures that every gathering is technically excellent, spiritually focused, and creatively engaging, while also leading the broader creative ministries of AVL, video, photography, digital content, and graphic design.

This person exists to remove distractions, elevate worship, and support the teaching of Gods Word through excellent audio, lighting, and visual storytelling.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Weekend Production & AVL Primary Focus

• Provide overall leadership for AVL teams, including audio, lighting, video, and projection. • Lead all sound and lighting systems, volunteers, and service execution for weekend services and events. • Recruit, train, and develop audio, lighting, and video volunteers and operators. • Ensure clear, consistent, and excellent audio in every room and environment. • Design and execute lighting that supports worship, communicates mood, and enhances storytelling. • Create distraction-free worship environments that support the movement of each service. • Oversee equipment system design, maintenance, and upgrades. • Work closely with Worship, Teaching, and Service Planning teams to align production with ministry goals.

  1. Film Photography & Storytelling

• Oversee video and photography teams that tell the story of what God is doing at Coastal Life. • Guide the creation of testimonies, sermon support videos, promos, and social content. • Maintain quality, clarity, and creative excellence in all visual storytelling.

  1. Digital Content & Graphic Design

• Provide creative direction for sermon series artwork, event branding, social media, and digital platforms. • Ensure consistent branding and strong visual communication across all channels. • Support marketing and communication efforts with compelling creative assets.

  1. Team Leadership & Development

• Recruit, train, schedule, and lead volunteer and staff teams across production and creative areas. • Build a culture of relationship excellence, spiritual growth, and ownership. • Develop systems, documentation, and workflows that make it easy for volunteers to succeed.

  1. Planning & Collaboration

• Participate in weekly service planning and creative meetings. • Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to support the mission and vision of Coastal Life Church. • Manage timelines, budgets, and production schedules.
