Our client is seeking highly skilled Crane Technicians to provide quality installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair services for overhead cranes and hoists. This role is ideal for an experienced technician who takes pride in safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

Crane Technicians are trusted representatives of the company and are expected to uphold the highest level of professional integrity and ethics while supporting long-term customer relationships and continued service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service overhead crane systems and hoists, including high?quality installations
  • Perform OSHA?equivalent inspections, document findings, and complete warranty work
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical breakdowns
  • Perform preventive maintenance and respond to emergency service calls
  • Interface effectively with customers and internal office teams to resolve equipment issues
  • Perform electrical and/or mechanical adjustments or repairs with or without engineered drawings
  • Maintain customer rapport by addressing concerns, identifying solutions, and recommending system improvements
  • Complete service reports, inspection checklists, and required documentation accurately
  • Maintain a professional appearance, organization, and punctuality at all times
  • Develop working knowledge of federal, state, and local codes related to cranes and hoists
  • Safely operate and maintain company equipment, including vehicles and tools

Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience troubleshooting cranes and hoist equipment
  • Hands?on experience with 3?phase motors, VFDs, contactors, and electrical circuits
  • Prior overhead crane and scissor lift experience required
  • Comfortable working at heights of 50–70 feet
  • Ability to perform OSHA?criteria inspections
  • Physically capable of lifting 50–100 lbs and working in extreme temperatures and noisy environments
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a strong safety mindset
  • Must supply own hand tools and meter
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Travel Requirements
  • Approximately 80% travel during the workweek
  • Majority of work is local, with technicians home most nights

Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of crane and hoist troubleshooting experience

Education (Preferred)
  • Associate’s Degree in:
    • Industrial Electrician
    • Electro?Mechanical Technology
    • Related technical discipline
