Qualifications:
Sanitation workers need physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in adverse weather conditions. They also need to be able to lift heavy objects and dispose of waste safely.
Requirements:
Must be 18 or older.
Drivers License or FL State ID is required.
Must pass the background & drug screening.
Must wear steel-toed boots to work everyday.
Ability to understand and abide by occupational health and safety regulations.
Adhering to OSHA safety standards, wearing assigned protective equipment (PPE), and ensuring compliance with hazardous waste disposal regulations.
Ability to lift 50lbs or more continuously during route.
Able to work in inclement weather.
Ability to carry, reach, bend, push, pull, and climb during route.
Ability to work collaboratively with the team.
Responsibilities:
Summary:
Works on an assigned sanitation route as a member of collection crew; picks up trash and loads materials into collection truck. Tag improperly sorted or oversized bins. Performs other duties as required. Position is outdoors the entire shift. Will be exposed to outdoor elements; The use of appropriate safety equipment will be mandatory.
