Position CP 2nd Floor Operator
Work Schedule - Rotating 12-hr shifts and some overtime required
Required knowledge, experience, skills
" High school diploma or equivalent
" Must have at least 2 years of industrial experience
" Must have a good work history; a proven job performance history
" Possess solid problem solving and troubleshooting skills
" Ability to differentiate colors pertaining to the position's requirements and responsibilities
" Possess good planning and organizational skills
" Must have good communication skills both verbal and written
" Possess good computer skills
" Ability to operate a forklift
Essential job duties and responsibilities
" Assumes responsibility of the operations of CP Lines
" Monitor all functions of the polymerization extrusion process and chip handling process
" Assumes responsibility for the quality and quantity produced on machines
" Transfers product as directed to silos, trucks or boxes
" Performs routine maintenance on machinery
" Maintain a high standard of safety
" Assures that the work area is clean and meets required safety standards.
" Performs color analysis, visual inspection and chip weight on all samples
" Enters the results of the color analysis, visual inspection, chip weight into the sample results database, and report any abnormalities.
" Ability to multitask simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards
" Ability to work with and take direction from supervision
" Must be self motivated and have ability to work independently as well as in a multi-function team environment
" Capable of reading and following instructions to produce a quality product and work safely
Preferred Requirements:
" Previous polymer extrusion experience
" Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate, maintain, and perform routine maintenance on machinery.
Physical Requirements
" Majority of work is standing and walking on hard surfaces greater than 8 hours.
" Occasionally reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
" Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs and push/pull 100 lbs.
" Willing and able to wear and use the prescribed personal protective equipment including respirator
