JOB SUMMARY
Perform duties that relate to the security and safety of judges, court staff and visitors of Superior Court. You will enforce court security protocols, maintain order within court facilities, and respond to high-risk situations as needed. Under the guidance of a corporal or sergeant, you will conduct patrols, screen individuals entering the courthouse, and handle any incidents that may threaten the safety of court operations. You may be assigned to the main courthouse in Florence, or one of our courthouses thought Pinal County.
This position requires sound judgement, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure while utilizing your armed experience to protect the integrity of the judicial process.

Based upon your direct experience and background, a salary offer will likely be presented to you within our starting minimum to midpoint of range ($39,411 - $49,264).

Independent body mobility to stand, walk, run, bend, and sit for prolonged periods of time and/or drive a vehicle. Manual dexterity to reach, and grasp; manual dexterity to hand write or use computer keyboard; vision sufficient to see and read; hear and speak to communicate with citizens in person and over the phone. The ability to communicate effectively, interrogate and interview people, discern noises that may require investigation, and perform telephone and radio communication; perform surveillance, sight and shoot a firearm safely and effectively, and coordinate and conduct investigations. May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Office/Court Setting. Will be required to work with individuals that may be resistant, antagonistic, and/or hostile.

The Superior Court in Pinal County conducts an extensive background investigation of criminal history. A criminal conviction does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Each case is considered individually and based on job requirements. However, felony convictions and some violent misdemeanor convictions may result in disqualification for employment with the Superior Court. "Crime" as used in this section means any and all felonies, misdemeanors, and serious driving offenses. "Crime" does not include minor civil traffic offenses. "Convicted" means that you have been found guilty by a court or jury, pleaded guilty or no contest to a crime and/or have been sentenced for a crime, whether incarcerated, placed on probation, fined or received a suspended sentence.
