Job Description

Overview

The Courier will complete deliveries to customer/patients on assigned routes using a company vehicle (non-cdl). The Courier may also be assigned deliveries to different departments and locations within the organization. The Courier will also help within the pharmacy when no deliveries are scheduled, or all deliveries have been completed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

(This list may not include all the duties assigned.)

  • Prepare and load vehicle with medications/products for delivery.
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of deliveries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Verifies receipt and provides valid signature for proof of receipt of all items delivered.
  • Assists in maintaining a clean pharmacy environment by performing various housekeeping tasks.
  • Light computer data entry.
  • Other duties may be assigned, are required.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare experience or education.
  • High school diploma or general education (GED).
  • Valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and good driving record
  • Basic operation of a computer workstation, and pharmacy computer system.
  • Able to speak Spanish, preferred.

Company Requirements

  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and a background check to include a 7-year criminal, 10-year SSN & employer history reference check.
  • Must be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination on the first day of work.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules.
  • Must take yearly flu shots or wear flu mask during flu season for patient-facing positions and test for tuberculosis as required by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
