- Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, outside sales representatives, vendors, and contractors.
- Enter customer orders and assist customers in selecting products by asking targeted questions and actively listening to understand their needs.
- Recommend alternative or substitute products based on availability and customer requirements.
- Research and source products using multiple tools to meet customer specifications.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding product information, pricing, quotes, and pickup or delivery timelines.
- Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, delays, or potential issues.
- Assist in resolving customer service and relationship concerns with both dealers and end users.
- Complete the full sales order process while identifying opportunities to upsell related or complementary items.
- Manage showroom merchandising, including product organization and restocking to ensure an appealing and well-maintained sales floor.
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures related to job duties.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
In addition to the above responsibilities, this individual is held accountable for all other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 1+ year experience in a Counter Sales role, preferably in the HVAC industry.
- Proven success in sales and providing excellent customer service.
- Strong interpersonal skills including sales, problem solving and customer service.
- Ability to work independently but meet assigned goals and objectives in designated time frames.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- A willingness to learn and grow with our Company.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Proven commitment to customer service and a safe work environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of air conditioning, heating and ventilation equipment at a wholesale distribution level.
- Experience in a wholesale HVAC equipment supply house preferred.
- Bachelor's or Associate's Degree preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday. This position may require working extra hours on occasion.
