The Counsel provides legal advice across the organization, supporting the legal strategy outlined by the SVP, General Counsel. This role involves drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and interpreting complex contracts and RFPs/bid documents for the refined products and natural gas sectors, as well as engaging in negotiations and dispute resolution.
Responsibilities include contract drafting, review, negotiation, and analysis of RFPs, conducting legal and business research on topics like natural gas regulations and tariffs, and assisting with matters related to insurance, litigation, and employment law.
Requirements include a law degree from an accredited school, strong contract skills, and at least 1+ years of experience in a corporate or law firm setting. The ideal candidate is solutions-driven with excellent communication skills. The position is typically a 40-hour on-site workweek, with potential for partial remote work.
