Location: Houston, TX Employment Type: Full-time, Direct Hire Work Schedule: Hybrid — 4 days in office, 1 day remote Salary: $110,000–$125,000 annually Bonus: 5% discretionary, not guaranteed
Position Overview
The Cost Estimator will develop cost estimates and execution plans for large-scale dredging and marine construction projects. This role works closely with project teams and senior leadership and offers opportunities for professional growth and exposure to major infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate cost estimates for competitive bid projects.
Review and summarize project plans and specifications.
Create clear overview drawings for presentations and project discussions.
Present estimates and project plans to senior management.
Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to estimate development.
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and other support teams.
Manage multiple project tasks and deadlines effectively.
Provide estimating support to project managers during construction.
Monitor project costs, production, and budgets throughout project execution.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Experience estimating or bidding on large-scale projects, including projects valued at $25 million or more.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
