Lead cost control activities for all shipbuilding projects, ensuring accurate cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting. Manage preparation of cost reports, including variance analyses. Control budget adjustments from approved make-or-buys, owner's change orders, and other budget transfers with relevant parties. Support Make-or-Buy evaluations. Maintain project change order logs. Prepare T&M and Turnkey subcontractor accruals on a monthly basis. Support the Director of Project Estimating and Cost Control in the preparation of executive-level financial summaries and presentations. Ensure all cost reporting aligns with company policies, cost management standards, and audit requirements. Supervise and mentor Cost Analysts and other staff in cost tracking, data analysis, and SAP reporting functions. Partner with production management to reconcile labor, subcontractor, and material costs. Participate in financial and operational audits, providing data and documentation as required. Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position manages the Cost Analyst(s) and may supervise other financial support staff as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Duties are performed primarily in an office environment within a manufacturing facility. Environmental exposures are similar to those found in heavy industrial settings and may include noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, and fumes. Work may occasionally take place outdoors and may involve exposure to inclement weather.

POSITION TYPE / EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time, on-site, safety-sensitive position. Standard work hours may vary by department and are determined by project schedules and operational needs.
PREferred EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Engineering. 7+ years of experience in cost control, project accounting, or financial management in a construction, manufacturing, or shipbuilding environment. Strong understanding of HPSI cost structures. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP. Experience managing teams and developing cost control systems. International and/or shipyard experience preferred.
