With decades of experience supporting utilities and large-scale infrastructure programs, they are known for their technical depth, collaborative culture, and commitment to modernizing the grid.Job DescriptionAs a Senior Cost Analyst for Capital Projects, you will apply your technical and analytical expertise to support project teams and clients through cost forecasting, budget management, earned value analysis, and project performance monitoring across large-scale utility and infrastructure projects, including Nuclear Power programs. This role involves interfacing directly with project management, client leadership, engineering, construction, scheduling, and project controls teams to ensure accurate project financial tracking and reporting throughout the project lifecycle. Using a variety of industry and proprietary software tools, including Primavera P6, SAP, and advanced Excel reporting tools, you will perform the following responsibilities:Implement project controls tools, cost management methodologies, and reporting processesDevelop, maintain, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reportsTrack project expenditures, commitments, accruals, and earned value performance metricsAnalyze project financial performance and identify cost trends, risks, and variancesSupport forecasting efforts and provide corrective action recommendations when requiredPartner with project schedulers to develop integrated cost and schedule performance reportingAssist with contingency management and risk analysis activitiesProvide regular project updates and communicate deviations from approved project baselinesSupport month-end closing activities and project phase gate reviewsProduce cash flow forecasts, earned value reports, and executive-level cost summariesAssemble supporting documentation for project teams and client reporting needsAnalyze large datasets and build reports to support project monitoring and decision makingInterface regularly with project management to support project performance and financial healthEnsure standardized file structures and reporting documentation are maintainedSupport client meetings, project reviews, and coordination efforts as neededPotential travel to client offices or project sites for coordination meetings and project supportMPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law.
