Cost Accountant – St. Joseph County, IN

Location: St. Joseph County, Indiana
Schedule: Onsite | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $75,000–$90,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join a manufacturing-focused organization in St. Joseph County, Indiana. The Cost Accountant will oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and margin analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.

This Cost Accountant role requires strong analytical skills and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Cost Accountant

Maintain and analyze standard costing
Perform inventory reconciliations and cycle count analysis
Analyze production costs and material variances
Support month-end close related to inventory and COGS
Partner with operations on cost control initiatives
Assist with audit support and compliance

Qualifications for the Cost Accountant

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
3+ years of cost accounting experience
Manufacturing experience strongly preferred
Strong ERP experience
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
