    Salary: $31.45/hour

    Job Duties:

    • Responsible for the coordination and control of inmate security and activities in a designated area within the detention center.
    • Responsible for implementing policies and procedures; monitoring the performance of Corrections Officers; and recommending appropriate disciplinary actions; remaining alert to inmate and/or staff concerns and resolving those issues within the associate's range of authority.
    • Responsible for reviewing and completing all documentation involving floor operations and associates in an assigned area; training new Corrections Officers to develop the skills of established officers; evaluating the job performance of Probationary Corrections Officers

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
    • Three years of experience working in Corrections or Law Enforcement.
    • Completed and passed the Jail Academy Exam.
    • Passed and maintained firearms qualification.
    • Received at least a "Meets Expectations" current performance evaluation.
    • Must be at least 20 years old.
    • Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
    • Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence and be available to work weekends and evenings.
    • Must possess/maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver's License.
    • Must submit to and pass a police background check, drug screen, motor vehicle record check.
