Salary: $31.45/hour
Job Duties:
- Responsible for the coordination and control of inmate security and activities in a designated area within the detention center.
- Responsible for implementing policies and procedures; monitoring the performance of Corrections Officers; and recommending appropriate disciplinary actions; remaining alert to inmate and/or staff concerns and resolving those issues within the associate's range of authority.
- Responsible for reviewing and completing all documentation involving floor operations and associates in an assigned area; training new Corrections Officers to develop the skills of established officers; evaluating the job performance of Probationary Corrections Officers
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- Three years of experience working in Corrections or Law Enforcement.
- Completed and passed the Jail Academy Exam.
- Passed and maintained firearms qualification.
- Received at least a "Meets Expectations" current performance evaluation.
- Must be at least 20 years old.
- Certified in First Aid, CPR, and AED.
- Must possess/maintain an active telephone in his/her residence and be available to work weekends and evenings.
- Must possess/maintain valid Missouri or Kansas Driver's License.
- Must submit to and pass a police background check, drug screen, motor vehicle record check.
