Job Title: Corrections Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift

Location: Waymart, PA

Pay: $50–$54 per hour
Schedule: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Night Shift)
Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire


Job Description:
Aline Staffing is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Corrections role in Waymart, PA. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care in a structured and secure clinical environment, with strong potential for long-term placement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional nursing care and treatment to inmates/detainees
  • Perform full physical assessments, including mental health evaluations
  • Administer medications, injections, IV therapy, and treatments
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond to medical needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
  • Supervise support staff when functioning as charge nurse
  • Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards

  • Clinical Skills Required (including but not limited to):

    • IV therapy, venipuncture, medication administration (oral, IM, subcutaneous)
    • Airway management, oxygen therapy, suctioning
    • Catheter insertion and care, wound care, dressing changes
    • Use of medical equipment (infusion pumps, glucometers, pulse oximeters)
    • Emergency response (CPR, AED)
    • Infection control and universal precautions
    • Specimen collection and diagnostic testing (EKG, urine dipstick, etc.)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license OR temporary practice permit
    • Ability to work independently and apply sound clinical judgment
    • Experience with electronic medical records and basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
    • Availability for a 6-month assignment
