Corrections Officers oversee andensure the safety of individuals incustody; who have been detained, arrested, awaiting trial or sentenced toa Corrections Facility.Officers provide securityfor TribalCourthearingsasneededandmaybeassignedcivilsubpoena service.Able to perform all necessary assigned duties,learn proper search procedures, fingerprintingand photography.Learn to process evidence asrequiredandwritereports. Administer first aidas needed.Perform other duties as assigned.



Requirements

Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, have a valid Oregon Driver's License and pass a pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive. Certification in First Aid/CPR helpful but not required. Applicants must have no felony convictions on record and no disqualifying misdemeanor ‘convictions. Physical coordination to operate equipment, visual acuity for performing necessary tasks, ambulatory ability to walk/run and ability to obtain Corrections certification within one year of appointment. Will be subject to an in-depth background, reference, character and financial investigation are required per 101-630 (Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act). Must submit to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid Oregon Driver's License.
