Reporting Relationships:
The Corporate Injection Tooling Engineer will report to the Corporate Tooling and Process Manager. The Corporate Injection Tooling Engineer will not have any direct report responsibilities. They will work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Program Launch Managers, Product Engineers, Pattern Developers, Plant Engineering, Quality, Customers and Vendors.
Position Charter:
Responsible for the engineering, management of conceptualization, cost estimating, developing, and building of tooling for plastic injection. Additional responsibilities include, design and development of Part check fixtures. This Position involves frequent contact with customers, sales, and tool building suppliers, to maximize the overall effort and provide the highest levels of customer service.
Education:
Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent working experience in a high-paced automotive engineering environment.
Professional Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has experience of at least (5) five years as an Injection Tooling Engineer capacity, preferably in the automotive industry. The individual must have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Databases). AutoCAD, Catia, SolidWorks and other CAD software would be a plus.
