About Us:
The Caturus platform was founded by Kimmeridge, an alternative asset manager focused on the energy sector, with subsequent additional investment by Mubadala Energy.  Caturus is building an independent, fully integrated natural gas and LNG export platform in the U.S. through a combination of its upstream operations and Commonwealth LNG, a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal in southwestern Louisiana.  Together, they will provide low-cost energy on demand with the lowest carbon footprint.

Job Description


The Corporate Head of Security is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing Caturus’ enterprise-wide security strategies to protect the organization’s people, assets, operations, information, and reputation. This role leads physical security, crisis management, investigations, executive protection, and business continuity programs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies. The position partners closely with executive leadership to identify risks, strengthen resilience, and support safe business operations across all locations.

 Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute the organization’s corporate security strategy and governance framework. 
  • Lead physical security operations, including site security, access control, surveillance, and guard force management.  
  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations including monitoring security systems and equipment. 
  • Direct enterprise risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for operational and security threats.    
  • Oversee crisis management, emergency response, and business continuity planning. 
  • Schedules and conducts both live and tabletop security drills and exercises in coordination with industry partners, local response teams, and Caturus personnel. 
  • Manage corporate investigations involving fraud, theft, workplace violence, misconduct, and other incidents.   
  • Ensure executive protection and travel security programs are effective and aligned with organizational risk profiles. 
  • Establish and maintain security policies, standards, and compliance processes. 
  • Ensure Caturus security policies and procedures are up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices and legal requirements.
  • Build relationships with law enforcement, regulatory agencies, and external security partners. 
  • Serves as the facility’s primary liaison to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies pertaining to security related issues.
  • Lead security awareness and training initiatives across the organization. 
  • Manage security budgets, vendor relationships, and security technology investments. 
  • Work in collaboration with IT on the corporate cybersecurity position. 
  • Monitor emerging threats and provide strategic security guidance to executive leadership.
  • Prepare security reports, metrics, and incident analyses for senior management and the board as required.

 Qualifications:

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study required. Advanced degree preferred.  
Experience:
  •  15+ years of experience related to the knowledge and skills demanded by the position (e.g., armed forces security, military police, federal law enforcement, or corporate security). Experience within Oil and Gas industry required. LNG experience preferred.  
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Able to provide clear work instruction to subordinates. 
  • Process Safety knowledge base and experience. 
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Knowledgeable in security access control platforms.
  • Knowledgeable in CCTV video platforms.
  • Knowledgeable in TWIC implementation and management compliance.
  • Knowledgeable in TWIC Reader Rule compliance.
