Proper Hospitality is seeking a hands-on, creatively driven operator to lead the development and execution of food and beverage concepts for new hotel openings -translating vision into experiences that are both compelling and operationally sound.

Position Overview

The Corporate Director of Food & Beverage Openings reports directly to the SVP of Food & Beverage and is responsible for bringing Proper Hospitality's F&B concepts to life across all new hotel openings. This role bridges creativity and operations-ensuring each outlet is thoughtfully programmed, efficiently designed, and positioned for long-term success.

Working closely with Development, Design, Culinary, and Operations teams, this leader ensures every new opening is executed seamlessly, on time, and in alignment with brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Openings Leadership

  • Lead all F&B aspects of new hotel openings from concept through launch
  • Develop and execute pre-opening timelines, budgets, and operational plans
  • Oversee onsite opening support, ensuring seamless execution and brand alignment

Concept Development & Programming

  • Collaborate on concept ideation, positioning, and storytelling for each outlet
  • Help define space programming, guest flow, and operational functionality
  • Partner with culinary and beverage teams on menu direction and experience design
  • Ensure concepts are both creatively compelling and operationally viable

Operational Integration

  • Build SOPs, training programs, and service standards for new outlets
  • Ensure kitchen and bar design align with operational needs and efficiencies
  • Partner with procurement and finance teams on budgeting and cost structures
  • Support hiring, onboarding, and training of opening F&B teams

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with architects, designers, and consultants throughout development
  • Act as the F&B voice in design and construction meetings
  • Align with brand, marketing, and PR teams on go-to-market strategies

Post-Opening Support

  • Provide short-term operational support post-launch to stabilize performance
  • Identify and troubleshoot operational challenges quickly
  • Transition ownership to property teams with clear standards and tools for success

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of F&B experience with strong pre-opening and concept development background
  • Proven experience opening hotels, restaurants, or multi-outlet F&B programs
  • Strong operational knowledge across front and back of house
  • Ability to balance creative input with practical execution
  • Exceptional project management and organizational skills
  • Comfortable in fast-paced, evolving environments with significant travel
