We are looking for a talented attorney to manage international trade legal work in support of our non-Retail and Operations businesses.

Key job responsibilities

  • Counseling Amazon businesses on a broad range of regulatory and commercial matters, with a focus on global regulations governing imports and exports.
  • Provide day-to-day advice on trade regulations, and advise on emerging regulatory and enforcement trends to help shape Amazon"s trade compliance policies and programs.
  • Work on complex and high-stakes global trade issue affecting current and future business models and technologies at Amazon.
  • Provide counsel and strategic advice to your business client to grow and move selection to our global stores and customers.
  • Work with engineers and program managers to support the development and deployment of Amazon-branded offerings and technological innovations, and partner with business, compliance, and logistics professionals to build and improve compliance policies, procedures and processes.
  • Support export and import matters, including classification, export eligibility reviews, country of origin determinations, and customs valuation.
  • Provide advice to internal stakeholders, as well as develop submissions to regulators and other external stakeholders.
  • Perform legal research, risk analysis, drafting guidance documents, decision memos, regulatory submissions, and correspondence
  • Managing internal data collection/review projects
  • Develop and implement processes to simplify or automate recurring tasks, coordinating with compliance professionals, government relations specialists and other legal partners.
