You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, diving deep into road safety challenges, analyzing intricate compliance issues, and crafting creative legal approaches that balance business needs with regulatory requirements. Expect to engage in strategic problem-solving, provide nuanced legal guidance, and play a pivotal role in shaping Amazon's transportation safety protocols. We work closely with business operations teams to develop legal solutions that are both rigorous and adaptable. Basic Qualifications - 5+ years of legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated ability to provide strategic legal counsel in complex business environments - Proven track record of developing innovative legal solutions in situations with unusually high degrees of ambiguity - Ability to communicate with and influence senior leaders, both verbally and in writing - Experience managing high-impact customer and business initiatives - Strong background in risk assessment and mitigation strategies - Experience in litigation a plus - Regulatory law experience a plus - Experience in workplace safety a plus Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
