Job Details

What you'll own
  • Lead all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process with accuracy and speed
  • Prepare and present financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to senior leadership
  • Oversee AP, AR, payroll accounting, and general ledger integrity across the organization
  • Manage external audit relationships and ensure full GAAP compliance
  • Partner with operations and executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team — building a culture of accountability
  • Drive process improvements and system efficiencies to support continued growth

What we're looking for
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with 2+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role
  • Strong command of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience in home services, field services, or a similarly operationally complex environment is a plus
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage, or similar)
  • A hands-on leader who can manage the details and think strategically
  • Strong communicator who can translate financial data for non-finance audiences
  • Proven experience in a shared services environment, overseeing centralized accounting functions across multiple entities or business units
  • Hands-on experience with purchase price accounting (ASC 805), including business combination valuations, intangible asset recognition, and post-close integration accounting
