We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Controller for our manufacturing operations. This is a pivotal role in our organization, responsible for all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic planning, financial analysis, and leadership within the manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Controller, you will:

1. Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
2. Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to Management and Board of Directors (financial performance, projections and other special projects as required).
3. Prepare short and long-term financial forecasts of financial performance for use with internal management and external parties.
4. Oversee audit and tax functions, coordinate activities with outside audit firms and review firms performance.
5. Develop, implement and maintain accounting and administrative policies and procedures for a wide-ranging set of activities including financial accounting and reporting, employee relations (hiring/terminating policies) and other corporate policies.
6. Proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
7. Responsible for all corporate and human resource activities including employee benefits, retirement plans, corporate insurance and related activities. This includes the coordination of these activities with all satellite offices as well.
8. You must have proven proficiency in accounting, taxation, financial management and cost accounting with a keen focus on maximizing a company’s financial performance and profitability with a clear understanding of opportunities for cost control and efficiency.
9. Assess and evaluate financial performance of organization with regard to long-term operational goals, budgets and forecasts. Provide insight and recommendations to both short-term and long-term growth plan of organization.
10. Identify, acquire and implement systems and software to automate processes and make efficiencies.
11. Develop and maintain relationships with banking, insurance and non-organizational accounting personnel to facilitate financial activities.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. CPA, CMA or other financial certifications are highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position with a proven record of success.
3. Solid experience in cost accounting and financial management within the manufacturing industry.
4. Proven expertise in strategic planning, financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence – ability to motivate staff.
6. Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
7. Significant experience in or knowledge of nonprofit accounting, including sophisticated fund and grant accounting, compliance, and reporting.
8. Deep knowledge and understanding of the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) rules and standards.
9. Demonstrated excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control, and reporting.
10. Strong ability to adapt and utilize new accounting technology and software.
11. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
12. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
