Job Title: Core Technician I
Location: Houston, Texas 77047
Duration: 6 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignmen
Shift: Day shift 07:00 AM to 07:30 PM - 12 hour rotating shifts - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off

Summary

The Core Tech I will be responsible for participating in aseptic processing of clinical grade product, including cell culture, purification, formulation, and filling activities. Also responsible for maintaining, stocking, and set-up of clean room environment.

Responsibilities

  • Participates in GMP production of viral products including large scale mammalian cell culture and column chromatography using aseptic techniques.
  • Drafting, completion, and revision of manufacturing documents including Batch Records, Specifications, Forms, Change Controls, Deviations, and SOP.
  • Buffer and component preparation including operation of steam autoclave.
  • Fill finish of viral products and cell banking.
  • Assist in production-related activities such as validation, changeover, data collection, and troubleshooting of process equipment.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree required.
  • Aseptic technique and experience in cell culture and serological methods preferred.
  • Able to pass Class 10,000 gowning qualification.
  • Computer software skills including Microsoft Office, organization skills, recordkeeping skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and time management skills.
  • Written and oral communication skills, team-oriented, independent work skills, and strong work ethic.
