Main Function: The Transfer Coordinator plays a key role in supporting patient care coordination by managing communication workflows, tracking appeals, denials and authorizations, and ensuring accurate documentation in EMR system. This position serves as a critical liaison between clinical staff, payers, and administrative leadership, helping to facilitate peer-to-peer reviews and maintain efficient operations within the department. Education: Minimum High School Diploma. A college degree in Business/Health Administration or equivalent diploma is preferred. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years Healthcare/Hospital experience. Computer skills and interactions with patients and medical personnel in a healthcare setting. Excellent communication skills required.
