POSITION SUMMARY:
The Coordinator, Student Involvement will provide assistance in the day-to-day operations/functions/services and programs of all offices in the Center for Student Involvement. The Coordinator supports the Center for Student Involvement by advancing programs and services that foster student engagement, belonging, and overall success. In this role, the Coordinator contributes to first‑year retention initiatives, advises student organizations, assists with major campus programs and transition experiences, and manages departmental communications. The position also oversees aspects of event planning, supports digital outreach efforts, and helps maintain core administrative systems and daily operations. Working closely with students, colleagues, and campus partners, the Coordinator plays a central part in enhancing the student experience and promoting meaningful involvement across the University.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan, coordinate, and implement services, programs and resources. Oversee student event planning processes - Review event submissions, guide student organizations through planning requirements, and collaborate with campus partners to ensure events meet University standards.
Maintain key systems (Anthology Engage/CORQ, 25Live), assist with budgeting and purchasing, support daily office operations, and supervise student staff. Contribute to planning, implementing, and supporting major events such as orientation programs, first‑year transition activities, and large‑scale student, family, and community events.
Contribute to the planning, organization and implementation of Orientation, Family Weekend, Life on the Bluff programming, and other large scale efforts. Collect data and facilitate assessment to inform continuous improvement for office services and programs.
Facilitate communication for parents, supporters, and students. Assists in office social media, including: Facebook, Instagram, Campus Link, web site, email lists, etc.
Engages in all efforts related to retention of special populations (first gen, first year, etc.)
Collaborates with campus stakeholders. Serves on university and divisional committees. Other duties as assigned.
Completes other duties as assigned.
