Georgia Highlands College is a multi-campus, state college member of the University System of Georgia. Job Summary
Under the supervision and direction of the Dean of Students, the Coordinator - Student Conduct & Case Management is primarily responsible for supporting the mission of Georgia Highlands College, offering strategic direction in improving academic success, persistence, and graduation rates of students at GHC. The coordinator will provide administrative oversight, including resource development, and coordinating initiative-related support for at-risk and minority students.
Responsibilities
Student Code of Conduct
Creates and implements training programs and workshops to educate the GHC community about the student code of conduct and academic integrity
Adjudicates student conduct cases in a fair and impartial manner
Conducts investigations and facilitates hearings for alleged violations of the Student Code of Conduct, ensuring due process and confidentiality
Develops and maintains accurate records of student conduct cases and outcomes, ensuring proper documentation in accordance with institutional policy
Collaborates with Admissions on screening criminal convictions cases and referring to the hearing panel
Reporting/Analysis
Develops end-of-semester and annual reports on activities, interventions, individual students and target group progress and outcomes, goals, and objectives
Analyzes student retention data to identify at-risk students and develops targeted support plans to improve retention rates, uses predictive analytics to identify and track cohorts of incoming at-risk students
CARE Case Management
Is responsible for the intake and management of CARE tickets including categorizing the cases and following up with the students and others involved in the case
Serves as a member of the CARE Core Team
Performs other assigned duties
Required Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a bachelors degree in a course of study related to the occupational field
Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for 1-2 years
Experience working with students, faculty, and staff; coursework in leadership helpful; grant experience is useful
Effective communication skills required
Possession of ability to readily obtain a valid drivers license for the type of vehicle or equipment operated
Proposed Salary
$21.63 per hour
