Coordinator of Veteran Services

St. Ambrose University is seeking a Coordinator of Veteran Services to lead veteran recruitment, oversee educational benefits certification, and provide support services for military-connected students and their families. This full-time professional role works across multiple departments-including Admissions, Registrar, Advising, and Student Support-to ensure a seamless and supportive experience for our veteran community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with veterans through schools, agencies, and community events.
  • Serve as the University's Primary School Certifying Official for VA benefits.
  • Assist with admissions, advising, and retention of veteran students.
  • Manage compliance with federal, state, and military education programs.
  • Coordinate and host veteran-focused events and recognition ceremonies.
  • Maintain partnerships with local, state, and national veteran organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required; experience with veterans' benefits and/or higher education preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Veteran or military family background a plus.
