Requirements / Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of successful administrative experience, preferably in alternative education, juvenile justice, or high-need urban educational settings with 5 or more years of classroom teaching experience at the secondary level and/or service in a related out-of-classroom assignment (e.g., teacher on special assignment, dean, school counselor, social worker, or psychologist). Education: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Social Work, Psychology, Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred). License or Certificate: Possess and maintain a valid Administrative Credential Possess and maintain a valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential (added authorization in Child Welfare and Attendance preferred), and/or a valid credential in Special Education, Mild-Moderate OR Single Subject Credential in Mathematics, Science, English, or History with an English Learner Authorization (CLAD, BCLAD or equivalent (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.) Possess, maintain, and/or be willing to pursue certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (maintained by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board); current certification is not required, but preferred Must hold or be eligible for and committed to receiving and delivering training on Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) to provide ongoing staff development
