  • PLEASE READ FULL JOB DESCRIPTION LINKED IN THIS POST* THE POSITION The Coordinator III, Career Technical Education (CTE) - JCCS and Specialized Schools Program Development, Grant Development & Budget Monitoring, coordinates and leads the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of CTE programs serving LACOE Juvenile Court and Community Schools (JCCS) and specialized school settings. This position provides leadership, technical assistance, professional development, grant writing support, budget monitoring, and direct site support to build CTE pathways that are responsive to the unique needs of students in court, community, camp, hall, long-term, and alternative education environments. The Coordinator III supports CTE pathway design, course sequencing, industry certification preparation, dual enrollment, articulation, work-based learning, career exploration, transition planning, grant development, budget planning, and fiscal monitoring. The position works closely with school administrators, CTE teachers, counselors, transition staff, probation partners, community colleges, workforce agencies, community organizations, business and industry partners, and LACOE fiscal/grants teams to ensure CTE programming is accessible, compliant, data-informed, fiscally responsible, and aligned to regional labor market needs. This position requires a strong understanding of high-quality CTE programming and the ability to adapt traditional CTE models to specialized settings where student mobility, facility restrictions, probation protocols, safety requirements, attendance patterns, and short-term enrollment may affect program delivery. Requirements / Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of successful administrative experience, preferably in alternative education, juvenile justice, or high-need urban educational settings with 5 or more years of classroom teaching experience at the secondary level and/or service in a related out-of-classroom assignment (e.g., teacher on special assignment, dean, school counselor, social worker, or psychologist). Education: Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Social Work, Psychology, Education or a related field (Doctorate preferred). License or Certificate: Possess and maintain a valid Administrative Credential Possess and maintain a valid Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential (added authorization in Child Welfare and Attendance preferred), and/or a valid credential in Special Education, Mild-Moderate OR Single Subject Credential in Mathematics, Science, English, or History with an English Learner Authorization (CLAD, BCLAD or equivalent (Please provide a copy of each credential document as it appears on the California Teaching Credential website with the document number on it.) Possess, maintain, and/or be willing to pursue certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (maintained by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board); current certification is not required, but preferred Must hold or be eligible for and committed to receiving and delivering training on Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) to provide ongoing staff development
