SUBJECT: Coordinator - Adult Learning Center

It is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel in the Brockton Public Schools. The School Department is advertising the position of Coordinator of the Adult Learning Center.

Qualifications: 1.Master's Degree and appropriate MA DESE teaching and administrative licensure 2.Five or more years successful teaching/administrative experience, adult education preferred 3.Familiarity with adult basic education programs, College and Career Readiness Standards for Adults (CCRS), and MA DESE grant policies and procedures 4.Experience in designing standards-based curriculum 5.Experience in developing and managing grant and budgets 6.Demonstrated skill in organization, leadership, communication, problem solving, collaboration, and team building

Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Provide educational leadership for the Brockton Adult Learning Center day and evening programs 2.Collaborate with district administrators, community service agencies, local colleges and businesses on issues related to the Adult Learning Center 3.Supervise and evaluate program and staff 4.Maintain and submit all Adult Basic Education grant-required data and reports 5.Be responsible for the building and program management and budget(s) 6.Research grant and other funding sources and craft proposals in collaboration with the BPS grant office 7.Flexible 8-hour workday 8.Complete all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Compensation: According to the BEA contract (1.30 ratio - 11 month work year)

Reports to: Director of Community Schools and After School Programs
