The Coordinator BMT Data Mgmt position is responsible for BMT data management outcomes including compliance with federal reporting requirements and other accreditation agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Key Responsibilities include:
- Manages and submits accurate clinical and outcomes data for Blood and Marrow Transplant (BMT) patients to registries such as Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Research, ensuring compliance with reporting standards and deadlines.
- Reviews patient records to abstract detailed transplant-related information (diagnosis, conditioning regimens, complications like CRS/ICANS, and follow-up outcomes) while maintaining strict data quality and integrity.
- Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and research staff to clarify clinical details, support audits, and ensure alignment with regulatory and accreditation requirements such as those from Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy.
- Utilizes electronic medical records and specialized data systems to track transplant activity, perform quality checks, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the BMT program.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree with Masters degree preferred.
A minimum of two years data management experience, oncology data management preferred.
Leadership experience preferred.
Experience in:
- providing information systems support.
- computer programming preferred.
- Knowledge of information systems, data storage and analysis, and improvement methodologies is required.
