Cook Up Care and Comfort for Youth in a Healing Environment
This is a part-time position working 16 hours weekly.
If you believe a warm, nutritious meal can be part of the healing process, we invite you to bring your skills to our adolescent psychiatric hospital. As a Cook, you’ll help create a safe, welcoming environment where youth feel supported during their mental health journey—one meal at a time. In this fast-paced setting, your attention to quality, cleanliness, and consistency makes a meaningful impact each day.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve balanced, appealing meals for youth and staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen per safety standards
- Receive, store, and manage food inventory in accordance with procedures
- Adapt to shifting needs in a hospital setting
- Participate in relevant training and ongoing education
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
High School/GED preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE
- Experience in quantity food production preferred
- Knowledge of JCAHO and Federal/State regulations and standards required
- Must possess cognitive, organizational, and emotional ability and maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors, deadlines and difficult situations
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must have current food handlers’ card for participating county of operations
