Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cook to join our food service team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals while maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. The ideal candidate has experience working in a commercial kitchen, can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering consistently prepared meals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook daily menu items, including hot entrées, starches, vegetables, and grab-and-go meals.
• Follow standardized recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation guidelines.
• Ensure meals are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, workstations, and food preparation areas.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food items in accordance with food safety standards.
• Monitor food quality and report any shortages or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food supplies as needed.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation policies and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support daily food service operations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Cook, Line Cook, Prep Cook, or in a similar food service role is preferred.
• Experience working in a commercial kitchen, cafeteria, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional food service environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality meals.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Flexibility to work assigned shifts.
