Job Summary:

John-Wesley Villas isseeking a skilled and dedicated Cook to join our team. This role isessential in preparing nutritious and delicious meals for our senior residentswhile ensuring a high standard of food quality and safety. The ideal candidatewill have experience in meal preparation and a passion for providing excellentdining experiences.

KeyResponsibilities:

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menusand dietary requirements.
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner andmaintains quality and presentation standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines incompliance with health and safety regulations.
• Assist with meal planning and inventory management.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and foodstorage areas.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure asmooth meal service.
• Accommodate special dietary needs and residentpreferences as necessary.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper storageof perishable items.
• Report any kitchen equipment maintenance needs tosupervisor.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Culinary school certification or equivalentexperience preferred.
• Previous cooking experience in a senior living,healthcare, or hospitality setting preferred.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitationpractices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment andmanagement multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, talk, and lift up to 50 lbs. asrequired.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.
