Cook/ Manager needed for School food service program in the Edison, NJ area. Monday through Friday. Full time position, 7 to 8 hours daily. No weekends or Holidays. Some evening caterings occasionally when needed.
Strong culinary experience required. K - 12 school food service is required. Able to lead culinary operations in kitchen. ServSafe® certification is required.
Qualifications:
- Catering experience is required.
- Proficient in technology, namely Google & Microsoft products, and POS systems.
- Client facing role, comfortable with regular client interactions.
- Able to lift 50 lbs.
- Ordering and inventory experience.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen.
- Following all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene regulations.
- Enforce use of all safety equipment provide for staff at all times.
- Oversee kitchen area and staff needs etc.
