The Staff Pad is partnering with a respected hospital in Las Vegas, New Mexico to hire a compassionate and dependable Cook. What You’ll Do
- Prepare, cook, chill, and serve a variety of nutritious meals and food items
- Adhere to established procedures and food service standards while ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and regulatory guidelines
- Ensure food quality, portioning, and presentation standards are met
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and regulatory guidelines at all times
- Safely operate institutional kitchen equipment and tools
- Support patient dietary needs with accuracy and care
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
- Work collaboratively with the dietary team to ensure both patient and staff needs are met along with a timely meal service
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience with food preparation, cooking techniques, and institutional kitchen equipment
- Institutional or healthcare food service experience preferred
- Formal training in institutional food preparation is a plus
- Current Food Handler’s Card or Food Safety Protection Manager Certification from an NMED-approved program required
- Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to high-quality service
