The Lake Mills Area School District School Nutrition Team is excited to share a Cook II position opening at Lake Mills Elementary School for the 2026-2027 school year! This student-contact day role runs from 10:00 AM-1:30 PM and helps prepare and serve meals in line with state and federal guidelines. It's a great opportunity to be part of a team that keeps our students fueled and ready to learn each day.
The District serves 1,471 students from the City of Lake Mills and the surrounding area in three schools: Lake Mills Elementary School, Middle School, and High School. Lake Mills Area School District is the highest achieving school district in Jefferson County and has strong academic curricular programs at all levels, as well as excellent music, athletic, drama, and extracurricular programs. We are proud to educate our students in some of the top facilities in the country for environmental construction and design. Our elementary school is LEED Platinum certified and was built as a house concept, which allows our staff to foster a sense of community and togetherness throughout the school day.
The Lake Mills community is supportive and involved with the schools. Lake Mills is ideally located in south-central Wisconsin near Interstate Hwy 94, fifty miles west of Milwaukee and twenty-five miles east of Madison, Wisconsin.
The City has a beautiful central square and park, and is built on the shores of "legendary" Rock Lake. Lake Mills retains the sense of a small town, a closely-knit community, with access to both rural and urban recreational opportunities.
