SAGE Dining Services is seeking an experienced Cook at a boarding school in South Kent, Connecticut. Available overtime for catering events with advance notice. Our mission is to create exceptional dining experiences that delight the senses, inspire minds and foster community. A cook's job involves preparing, cooking, and presenting food items according to recipes and established standards, ensuring food safety and quality, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. They work with various cooking methods, including grilling, frying, and baking, and may also be involved in food preparation, such as chopping vegetables or marinating meatsThis is a boarding school, open seven days a week. We serve three meals a day, so we start at 6:00 AM and finish at approximately 8 PM. But of course you wouldn't work those hours!! Schedule will be 5:45 AM - 2:15 PM. Our school follows the school's particular calendar, including holidays, with summers off. We offer a more life-friendly schedule. Very rarely special events will occur and you will be required to work, but advance notice is given.
