Toast to Toast is seeking a dedicated and versatile Cook/Bartender to join our team. This dual-role position requires an individual with a passion for creating delicious meals and providing outstanding beverage service to our guests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional multitasking abilities, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering Southern hospitality in every interaction.


Key Responsibilities:

Cook Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items to order, ensuring quality and presentation meet established standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning and food preparation for special events or promotions.
  • Monitor food inventory and assist with ordering supplies to minimize waste.
  • Ensure proper storage of ingredients and food items to maintain freshness.

Bartender Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and guest preferences.
  • Provide a welcoming and engaging experience for guests seated at the bar.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including washing glassware, restocking, and sanitizing workspaces.
  • Adhere to all alcohol service laws and policies, ensuring responsible service practices.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook and/or bartender; experience in both roles preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation, kitchen operations, and drink-mixing techniques.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Certification in food handling and alcohol service preferred or willingness to obtain certification.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Comfortable working in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cold.
