- Prepare control panel layouts, wiring concepts, and system architecture documentation
- Support field instrumentation selection, specification, and application for industrial process systems
- Size and specify control valves based on system requirements, process conditions, and performance needs
- Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams to ensure proper system integration
- Support modifications, upgrades, and improvements to existing plant control systems
- Participate in startup, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of control and instrumentation systems
- Ensure designs and deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, plant requirements, and safety expectations
- Provide technical support to operations, maintenance, and project teams throughout project execution
- Assist with problem-solving related to system performance, instrumentation issues, and control strategy improvements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering discipline
- Experience in heavy industrial environments such as power generation, oil and gas, chemical processing, or similar facilities
- Strong experience with DCS, PLC, and HMI systems
- Strong understanding of process instrumentation and control system design
- Experience developing loop diagrams and control panel layouts
- Experience sizing and specifying control valves
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, instrumentation documents, and control system documentation
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and field teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with plant modifications, modernization projects, or control system upgrades
- Experience with industrial communication networks and integration between plant systems
- Experience supporting commissioning and startup activities
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices related to instrumentation and control systems
- Experience in regulated or highly process-driven industrial environments
