Your technical abilities are critical to the success of our contracting controls business: installation, programming, system integration, functional testing, commissioning, and owner-training for building automation systems. You will collaborate with Design Engineers, Programmers and Field Engineers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and fully functional.Responsibilities Integrate various manufactures of DDC/PLC style controllers to form a reliable building automation networkCreate Tridium/Niagara based, accurate graphic interfaces for building operatorsCollaborate with vendors to produce graphical floor plans, unit schematics, and graphical schedules for building operationsAssist field engineer in quality control of field wiringAssist field engineer in functional testing of devicesAssist field engineer in functional testing of programmed sequence of operationsAssist field engineer in commissioning of customer graphicsTrain owner/operator on building automation graphical interfaceDevelop and maintain graphics library and graphics standardsStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologiesUnderstand project scope and execute duties in timeline requiredAll other duties assignedQualifications B.S. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related fieldStrong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on practical solutions that exceed client expectationsExcellent people skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with internal and external stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a demanding environmentWorking knowledge using Microsoft 365 suite + Visio + Bluebeam + Niagara WorkbenchThe typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $70,000 - $90,000 in Illinois. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade in which this position falls.
