This is a full-time, on-site role for an Electrical Controls Engineer, based in Springfield, OH. The Electrical Controls Engineer will focus on the design, development, and implementation of electrical control systems for industrial equipment. Daily responsibilities include designing and troubleshooting control systems, programming PLCs, collaborating with production teams to ensure system functionality, and supporting testing and commissioning of equipment. The engineer will also assist in diagnosing and resolving any electrical or control issues that arise during production or installation. Some travel may be required (up to 10%).
Qualifications
Proficiency in Electrical Controls and Electrical Engineering principles
Experience with Electrical Design and integration
Ability to design, program, and implement Controls Systems
PLC programming software, Allen Bradley preferred, Siemens a plus
Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office package
Good understanding of domestic & international electrical codes (NEC, NFPA79, IEC60204-1)
Familiarity with an ERP system, SAP a plus
Strong skills in troubleshooting control issues efficiently
Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering – BS or equivalent experience preferred
Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations
Ability to sit and/or stand/walk for extended periods of time; navigate stairs and congested workspaces several times daily; bend, kneel, & reach overhead
