Description: The Judge Group is seeking a Controls Engineer for a manufacturing company located in the Roxboro, NC area.

Responsibilities
•Design and develop control system hardware/software for automation projects
•Ensure safety and regulatory compliance
•Create project docs: standards, reports, schematics, plans
•Engineer automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, drives, controllers
•Integrate statistical control tools (SPC/SQC/SCADA, trending, data acquisition)
•Program, install, debug PC/PLC/HMI and specialty software
•Lead internal/external engineering resources
•Support project management practices
•Train plant electricians and operations staff
•Oversee installation quality, testing, and field support
•Travel to construction sites as needed
Qualifications
•5+ years’ automation/control systems experience
•Strong PLC/HMI and Wonderware knowledge
•Expertise with AC/DC drives and position control
•Networking, IT systems, servers, fiber, switches
•Understanding of medium/high‑voltage systems
•Knowledge of SPC/SQC/SCADA
•Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
