The Manufacturing Automation team is responsible for the design, integration, and deployment of automated manufacturing systems across Anduril factories. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help define what production automation looks like for Anduril at a national scale.What You'll DoDesign, develop, and manage controls systems for manufacturing – this includes initial factory ideation, machine commissioning, proof of rate capability, and eventual hand‑off to sustainment teamsArchitect, write, and debug PLC code with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable, and reusable for high‑volume manufacturing applicationsGenerate and enforce internal standards for control systems architectures, regulatory compliance, and safety buyoffsIntegrate internal and external FactoryOS software into automation equipment and production linesLead root cause analysis and corrective actions for automation failures, ensuring rapid resolution and long‑term reliabilityInstall, configure, and tune servo drives / VFDsPartner with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, reduce downtime, and drive continuous improvement initiativesRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering2+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environmentStrong in PLC programming on either Rockwell or Siemens platformsProficient knowledge of ethernet based communication protocolsMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilitiesPreferred Qualifications4+ years of experience in controls and automation in a production environmentExperience with control panel layout, electrical component selection, and cable routingProficient in Ignition SCADA developmentExperience integrating with MES and QMSProficient in servo drive and VFD configuration, PID tuning, STO/SS, etcFamiliar with CAD packages including Solidworks, NX, CATIA, and AutoCADUS Salary Range$129,000—$171,000 USDHealthcare BenefitsThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
