Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or related Engineering discipline.
Must have proven experience in designing and implementing automation solutions in a manufacturing environment.
Must have 3 or more years experience in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting material handling and manufacturing control systems.
Must have 3 or more years experience with Allen Bradley hardware/software, Beckhoff is a plus.
Must have 3 or more years experience designing electrical panels.
Must have experience creating electrical schematics.
Experience with Kuka Robots is a plus and we do offer continued training at Kuka College at no cost to you.
AMR experience is a plus.
Must be able to generate budgetary proposals/estimates for controls systems based off sitting in on round table discussions of new projects, machines, and/or site surveys of potential projects.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a team environment with other engineers and technical professionals.
Develop new technical ideas from proof-of-concept to finished product.
Design training material or manuals as it relates to controls.
Responsible for ongoing testing and code development of new products.
Travel to factories to perform upgrades.
Support commissioning/product launch.
Travel to customer sites and trade shows.
Some weekend work is required.

Write PLC code, design HMI screens, design new control systems for new equipment we develop. Troubleshoot existing systems, help with installation and commissioning of new systems. Design, build, program, commission servo-controlled systems. Setup, program, commission new robotics, AMRs, ASRS, VLMs.
In this role you will design, implement, and maintain automated systems that make machines and industrial processes operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Systems may control warehouse material handling using conveyors, autonomous forklifts, AMRs, robots, automated storage and retrieval systems. You will be working with some legacy units as well as new systems using the latest technology. This role will be a important part of our overall product offering consisting of off-the-shelf products as well as new systems designed to fit specific needs of the end user.
