Controls Engineer

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Controls Engineering Department supporting the Manufacturing Automation, Plant Operations, and Production Engineering Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Buffalo, NY
Pay Range: $47 - $54 per hour

What’s the Job?

• Design pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical wiring diagrams for manufacturing control systems.
• Develop and support PLC and HMI software for plant automation projects.
• Perform system startup, troubleshooting, debugging, and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support during equipment installations and train plant personnel on controls systems.
• Travel to manufacturing sites as needed to support automation and controls initiatives.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field
• 5-7 years of Controls Engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with PLC programming, HMI development, and Servo drive systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and control panel design.
• Knowledge of electrical standards, safety standards, and industrial automation systems.
