Your Day-to-Day
Design and implement automated control systems with both automatic and manual operating modes
Develop and integrate HMIs (PanelView, Wonderware, Ignition) for operator control and monitoring
Build and maintain a Factory Information System providing real-time data visibility across operations
Write and develop PLC programs from scratch using Allen-Bradley ControlLogix platforms
Troubleshoot and optimize PLCs, PowerFlex drives, instrumentation, and network infrastructure
Support commissioning of new equipment and capital improvement projects
Integrate standalone components into centralized control systems
Partner with operations and maintenance teams to ensure system reliability and safety compliance
Maintain documentation in alignment with safety, environmental, and quality standards
What We're Looking For
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in industrial controls and automation
Proficiency with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs and PowerFlex drives
Hands-on experience with HMI platforms (PanelView, Wonderware, or Ignition)
Experience with SCADA systems, networking, and Windows/VMware infrastructure
Hands-on experience with conveyor and safety systems
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and first/third shift as needed
Effective communicator with cross-functional collaboration experience
Preferred
CMMS experience
Knowledge of federal mining laws (MSHA)
Familiarity with mining methods, equipment operation, and mine ventilation or materials handling systems
Experience with mine shaft maintenance
