Job Details

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our legal team as a Controller. This unique role provides an exciting opportunity to drive the financial performance and strategic direction of our organization. This role is instrumental in driving financial efficiency and effectiveness across the business, offering a significant platform for professional growth and exposure to the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
2. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
3. Manage cash flow and forecasting. Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
4. Optimize the handling of banking relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.
5. Oversee budgeting and the implementation of budgets so as to monitor progress and present financial metrics both internally and externally.
6. Manage and track the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.
7. Drive the company’s financial planning.
8. Ensure compliance with the law and company’s policies.
9. Manage team of financial controllers and financial analysts.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience, preferably within the legal industry.
3. Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, or a similar role.
4. In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
5. Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
6. Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g., SAP).
7. An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
10. A strong moral compass and professional integrity.
